Montacute Valley Orchards is a family owned business established five generations ago. We grow many varieties of cherries, peaches, nectarines, lemons and apricots, which are spanned across 6 different properties within the Greene family. We are a quality assured business, and are proud of the quality of fruit produced. It is important to all of us at Montacute Valley Orchards, that our customers walk away knowing they have purchased a high quality product, at an extremely competitive price. Our fruit is picked into buckets in the orchard, carefully tipped into 10kg crates, collected at regular intervals during the day and brought into the shed. It is then Hydro cooled, which is a process of extremely rapid cooling using ice cold water which ensures the fruit you buy will stay fresh and last longer. Then it goes into one of our cool rooms which are kept at 1 degree Celsius and packed the following day, to ensure that our customers receive the highest quality of fruit. Cherries can be purchased loosely, or in two or five kilogram boxes. Please note that sales are not available through the internet. |
